Passion and Persistence Pay Off
After attending a fabulous
Harry Connick, Jr. concert,
I had the joy of going backstage
to meet and thank him for all of the
support and attention he has brought
to our beloved hometown,
Having been a fan for years since he played
at my sister’s engagement party,
I was passionate to meet him.
A few road blocks existed.
His
return my calls during the week. I turned to Plan B.
When I got to the concert, I asked an usher
for a manager. The manager said that no one
on-site could authorize my visit.
Being persistent, I wrote a note to Harry
and gave it to the manager to forward.
He was kind enough to do so and I was granted permission.
When we are passionate about a dream or vision,
we owe it to ourselves to pursue it.
Obstacles exist, people may not cooperate
and circumstances will be out of our control.
However, when you bring energy, drive and desire
to a goal, it is possible to accomplish almost anything!
