Leadership Tip
Passion Leads to Engagement
Passion is powerful.
John Izzo, a management consultant,
says that this is one of the key elements
to keeping employees engaged.
It also attracts others and increases business.
Last week in New York I observed the
impact that this quality has in the world.
I spent time either physically or spiritually
with leaders in their field.
The common thread is their passion for their craft.
Vera Wang’s passion for form and creativity
has taken her to the top of the fashion world.
J.P. Morgan’s passion for business and
collecting works on paper is tangible in
his newly renovated library.
Vincent Van Gogh’s passion covers his canvases.
Trish McEvoy’s passion for beauty (both inner and outer)
has taken her to the top of the cosmetics field.
Passion is palpable when you listen to or observe
these leaders. It attracts and inspires us.
How are you creating passion in your organization?
What are you doing to share it?
By generating passion, your employees and clients
will become engaged.
You won’t even need a ring!
