Practical Empathy Skills Workshops

To Lead is to Serve: Increase Participation and Enthusiasm on Your Team

To Lead is To Serve is a leadership philosophy based on the ancient Chinese principle of "servant leadership." It arises from the I Ching, and in particular, a principle that translated literally, means "to rule truly is to serve."

This program focuses on leadership dynamics and how we can apply these to motivate team members. It is structured around these four principles:

1. To lead is to serve

  • How to move from "seeking" to "giving"
  • How to "meet" people where they are

2. How to be "welcoming"

3. Showing and expressing appreciation

4. How to inspire and motivate through having fun

Participants learn tools to:

  • Increase their organization’s productivity and results
  • Create stronger teams
  • Increase satisfaction and commitment among team members
  • Increase team morale
  • Strengthen their personal leadership skills
  • Attract new team members
  • Keep perspective and appreciate others
  • Empower others

Participants share stories and group exercises and are inspired to utilize the "spirit of giving" as an effective means to build and motivate a dynamic organizational team.
